[Locked to Castiel]
[OOC: I know you're not here this weekend, Emily - so totally don't worry about it. Just reply to this when you're better. <3]
[This journal is written just after Cassie's confrontation with Kaden. The writing is shaky and difficult to read, she's writing with her left hand. Her right's too damaged to do anything right now.]
Castiel?
I hate to ask with this, but
... I need your help with something.
<3 Sleeping all day helps.
Sleep is good! :D <3
Sleep is very, very good.
Feel free to go to action prose when you like! :D

"Cas," she bites down on her lip, trying not make a noise of pain. "I... punched someone. Three times. I... didn't do it right,"
no subject
He then pulls back, letting his forearms rest against his knees as he speaks. "Did someone attack you?"
no subject
"Kaden was here. He wanted to see Iris," she says finally after a long pause, "I couldn't let him, I had to keep him away,"
She swallows hard and looks down to avoid his gaze. She feels ashamed for acting how she did now. "He called me a monster," her voice is bitter. "I didn't want to hit him.. but I just... it just happened,"
no subject
"Who is Kaden?"
no subject
"Kaden was the man who tortured me the night I fell through the Rift," she says slowly, "I knew him as Minoru then,"
She swallows awkwardly, wringing her hands, "He's Iris' Ward. I had to keep him away, I know what he's like and what he's capable of... but he's right, I can't keep him away forever,"
no subject
He knows that this doesn't eliminate the chance that he could possibly be possessed, but he doubts it. Magic works differently in Chicago, and he knows that humans -- angels or not -- are capable of great destruction all on their own. He considers for a moment, before replying. "Though his being her 'Ward' would explain the bond that I saw in her mind."
no subject
"He can't be possessed," she mumbles, finally looking up with a hardened look, "I can't believe that. The night..." she pauses, finding it difficult to say, "He manipulated me. He gets into your head, he plays games. I don't know what he's doing with Iris, but he's got her wrapped 'round his little finger,"
Cassie sighs, feeling hopeless, "That's why I couldn't hurt him as much as wanted to," she tells him, "He told me that if I hurt him, I would be hurting Iris. He's using the bond they have so he can stay untouchable,"
no subject
"I don't know as much about Chicago angels as I would like. I would have to do some research into this." He looks over at her and sighs. "I know you mean well and are trying to protect Iris, but I would advise staying away from him for the time being. He seems dangerous, and it would be best to tread lightly."
no subject
"That's why I was trying to keep him away, Cas," she says weakly with a defeated look. "I know, I--" she closes her eyes, wincing at the memories. They're uncomfortable. She remembers the drugs and the tears and the darkness. She wishes she could forget it all, but she mustn't. It's the only thing that's driving her.
"I don't know what else to do," she says finally, "I'm tired of... I'm tired of not doing anything,"
no subject
"Just be careful." At the moment, he is more concerned for her than anyone else. "This Kaden seems very dangerous, especially if he is an angel."
no subject
"I'll..." she looks his hand on her shoulder and then at him, looking a little guilty. She wants to promise him that she will, but she can't. She can't help the anger that bubbles away in her chest. It's too much for her now, everything that's been thrown at her she's tried to suppress and now it's bursting out. "I'll try.."
Cassie smiles sadly, letting out a bitter laugh, "You're telling me," she says after a long pause, holding up her hand, "I don't even think I left a mark on him,"
no subject
no subject
"Thanks, Cas," she slowly clambers back onto her feet. Ahh, he's probably going to zap them there, isn't he? Needless to say, she's not a fan.
no subject
Right.
Kind of.
Either way, this is Castiel tightening the hand on her shoulder, and proceeding to zap them back to her room.
no subject
She makes a face, shutting her eyes tightly shut, that was just an uncomfortable as she last remembers. Hopefully, just hopefully - she'll stop feeling sick and dizzy soon.
"Next time... we take the elevator," she groans, "Or the stairs. Stairs are lovely,"
no subject
He still doesn't always get that people don't like the teleporting thing. He's just incredibly used to it. "I forget that not everyone is used to this."
