Cassie breathes a sigh of relief, the pain vanishes. She takes a moment to look down at her now healed hand, flexing her fingers. Good as new. Offering a small smile of thanks, she shakes her head.

"Kaden was here. He wanted to see Iris," she says finally after a long pause, "I couldn't let him, I had to keep him away,"

She swallows hard and looks down to avoid his gaze. She feels ashamed for acting how she did now. "He called me a monster," her voice is bitter. "I didn't want to hit him.. but I just... it just happened,"
