The first flight you ever take should be off to some hot place for a holiday, to run away from real life and get away for a little while and enjoy yourself. For Cassie, she's not allowed that luxury. And while she's running away from real life, she's not going for a holiday. She's certainly not going anywhere hot, either. She's going to hide, to get away from Spencer, from Chicago, from what she's done, from the fact that Castiel's gone on top of everything else that happened on Halloween night.

She's lived in Chicago for some two and a half years and whatever the city's hurled in her direction, she's gotten through it. Sometimes, it's hard to keep standing, but she somehow manages to do it. But this time, she just can't. She can't deal with it. And the only thing she feels she can do is to run. Get out of the city and find some quiet.

Canada seems like a good place.

The flight made her a nervous wreck, she's decided she's not a good flyer. Teleportation is a breeze compared to flying. She can't remember when she last slept, or ate for that matter. Most people look tired after a flight, but Cassie stands out amongst her fellow passengers. She's run down and Saul's getting frustrated being kept in his carrier for so long, making a god-awful amount of noise as she tries to find her way out the airport. It's doing nothing for her headache.

Checking her phone, she sends a hasty and vague to reply to one of the several texts from Sherlock 'He's going to break my bloody phone again.' she's gotten in the time she's been travelling. She doesn't want to talk to him, she doesn't want anyone to really know she's here. The exception is Jo, who she told about the idea. It's possible the rest of the Crowbar will find out, but they're good to her, they'll understand and respect her need for privacy right now.

They don't even know what she's done. Dan doesn't even know. Her phone call was a quiet plea to get away, but she left the reasons out of it. Nothing but something bad had happened. She knows she'll need to explain things anyway. He's been good to her to let her come stay for however long she needs to. The least she owes him is an explanation.

But she hopes, as she tiredly drags her case, satchel and rat along with her out the gate, that the explanation will come later rather than sooner.
